The traditional Oil-based Mud Treatment Technology is recycling and incineration.,simple processing and low cost. But this measures is higher demands on stratigraphy and the incineration can cause serious pollution to the environment, Not conducive to the construction of environmental conservation-minded society. Oil Mud Treatment. For added protection of the drill string in an H2S environment, an oil-based mud is recommended. The main advantage of a continuous oil phase fluid for drilling acid gas-bearing formations is the prevention of the various types of corrosion listed. An invert mud can be formulated with mineral oil or other low environmental risk oil substitutes when needed. In this mud, water and chemicals are used together to control viscosity and fluid loss. Invert emulsion muds provide good hole protection and are the most commonly used oil mud. GN Solids Control manufactures all 4 stage solids control equipment for treatment of drilling mud. Oil-continuous emulsions are often termed slop muds. Oil-based drilling fluids can become contaminated with significant quantities of water as a result of low efficiency well bore displacements to water or brine and from operations such as rig and pit cleaning. One of the examples of such customization is a multi-purpose plant for oil sludge and drilling mud treatment with an option to disintegrate a product either on two or three phases. This design allows using a plant for treatment of drilling fluid as well as oil sludge and other products requiring three-phase disintegration.
