A set of indicators transparently assesses the health of freshwater systems in their ecological and social dimensions, quantifying and mapping the multiple benefits that freshwater naturally provides. The Freshwater Health Index focuses on three main components: Ecosystem Vitality: The integrity and functioning of the ecosystem itself. Ecosystem A smaller set of Healthy People 2020 objectives, called Leading Health Indicators(LHIs), has been selected to communicate high-priority health issues and actions that can be taken to address them. Tobacco LHIs The indicators are used to assess the health of the country, facilitate collaboration across sectors, and motivate action to improve health at the national, state, and community levels. The Leading Health Indicators were selected and organized using a “Health Determinants and Health Outcomes by Life Stages” conceptual framework. An organization’s health—its ability to align around and achieve strategic goals—is critical for long-term performance. However, many leaders overlook organizational health because they lack a clear way to measure and improve it. Organizational Health Index (OHI) applies analytical rigor to organizational health management. Service Delivery Indicators is a Africa wide initiative that collects actionable data on service delivery in schools and health facilities to assess quality and performance, track progress, and empower citizens to hold governments accountable for public spending. The GHS Index assesses countries’ health security and capabilities across six categories, 34 indicators, and 85 sub-indicators. The findings are drawn from open source information that answered 140 questions across the categories. The full report offers 33 recommendations to address the gaps identified by the index.
